POCATELLO, Idaho (KIFI) – On Tuesday, June 28, the Bannock County Clerk’s Office released Bannock County’s Complete Annual Financial Report for the fiscal year ending September 30, 2021. The Complete Annual Financial Report is a presentation thorough and detailed account of the County’s financial situation.
State law requires local governments with annual budgets over $250,000 to submit a complete, audited financial statement each year.
Independent accounting firm Wipfli, LLP has audited the county’s financial reports and found them to be fairly presented in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
“It’s always nice to go to the doctor and have a good checkup. That’s how I feel like that [financial report] is,” Commissioner Ernie Moser said.
The Bannock County Auditor’s Office has often been recognized for its comprehensive annual financial report. For 28 consecutive years, Bannock County has received the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada. The Office of the Auditor will resubmit the 2021 financial report for this award.
